Description

Lunar Crater: Copernicus - Moon 81.8%, 20230302 (C8 EHD)

With the built-up experience in imaging the moon, I had the chance to image Copernicus again. Last time (Sept 2022), it was a quick test/first light with the C11 and the ASI183MC, this time it is more ‘planned’, with the C8 EHD and the 174MM. Captured on March 2nd 2023, with the moon 81.8%, the day of my image of the Golden Handle, seeing wan’t at its best, although it did yield some good images so far …

The image seems quite sharp/detailed, and I’m happy with the progress I’ve made. The western rim seems a bit bright, but I didn’t want to touch that in the processing.

Would this be at the limits of what the C8 EHD can bring me?
Happy to hear your thoughts ….

Any constructive guidance is welcome .. always looking how I can still improve on this
